As I've gotten older, I have been trying a lot more shapers to try to get a little bit back of my old stomach and to smooth out some bumps, bulges and irregularities that make me feel less attractive In my clothing. This is one of the very few that I have found that do the job. It does not absolutely suck in your waist, its not a corset. However, it does compress and smooth out and I hike up the product really high almost to my bra line to make sure it smooths out all the little bumps and bulges, and it really does make my clothes and shirts fit more smoothly and fall more attractively. Also, it's not uncomfortable to wear all day which is something I've had issue with other shapers and the price is right! I'm surprised it is as an effective product for the price.
